Chevy 6 is a local oldies rock band led by Ben Burford that began playing together in 1974. Over the next 35 years they played thousands of dances, fraternity parties and local club shows, including 112 appearances at Southside's Louie Louie, which was co-owned by Burford's brother Jim.

The original line-up included Burford, Maurice Shannon, Kenny Smitherman, O'Neal Smitherman, Brian Smith and Mike Grayson. The current line-up includes Burford, Ken Murray, Roe Collins, Richard Crawford, and Bob Norman.
