The Cottages on Fifth is a 10-home residential subdivision at 3711-3729 5th Avenue South in Forest Park-South Avondale. It was developed by Charley Duggan to provide small detached homes in the $400,000 to $450,000 range. The ten painted brick veneer cottages were designed by architect John Forney on compact sites around a landscaped courtyard. The development was inspired, in part, by the 1920s Cliff Court cottages on Cliff Road, and permitted by the inclusion of "cottage developments" in the city's form-based Zoning Code, adopted in 2015.
Each of the houses is 1,718-1,803 square feet with three bedrooms and two baths. Six of them have a one-car garage, accessible from a rear alley. The interiors feature 10-foot ceilings and hardwood floors.
