Dodge City is a Class 8 town of 548 people on 3.4 square miles along Cullman County Highway 69, west of Interstate 65. It is south of Good Hope and near the eastern extent of Lewis Smith Lake.
The town is 95% white. The present population represents a 6.4% drop between the 2000 and 2020 U.S. Census.
