Donald Harwell (born c. 1954) is a candidate for Vestavia Hills City Council Place 2 in the 2008 municipal elections.

Harwell ran unsuccessfully for the council in 2000 and 2004. He faces incumbent Jim Sharp in the August 26 contest. Harwell's indentical twin brother David is running for the council in Place 3.

Both Harwells graduated from Berry High School and UAB and are life-long residents of Vestavia Hills.
