Emmet Roberts (died February 13, 1905 in Birmingham) was known as the "Bessemer giant".

Roberts lived with his sister and brother-in-law, W. F. Nolan on 4th Avenue Bessemer. He grew rapidly in stature, but suffered from weakness and died young at St Vincent's Hospital. He was buried at the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
