Emory O. Jackson (born 1908 in Georgia; died 1975 in Birmingham) was editor of the Birmingham World from 1941 until his death.

Jackson graduated from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia in 1932 and taught school in Dothan and for Jefferson County Schools before joining the Birmingham World.

As an editor and columnist, Jackson opposed segregation. His campaign against plans to segregate the Freedom Train led its sponsoring organization, the American Heritage Foundation, to cancel its Birmingham stop.
