Federal Bake Shop opened with Century Plaza and closed around 1984. It was owned by Walt and Belinda Marchand. It was a bake shop and deli well know for some of the best homemade bread, chocolate chip cookies and great hot sandwiches on freshly made rolls. Cake decorating was a big part of this business. On an average Saturday cake decorating would begin around 3:30 am and produce a couple hundred special order cakes before noon.
