Gregory Scott Slay (born May 10, 1969 in New Orleans, Louisiana – died January 1, 2010 in Bodega Bay, California) was the drummer for the rock band Remy Zero.
Greg, the son of Dudley and Jenny Slay, grew up in Mobile and attended Davidson and McGill-Toolen High Schools. He and fellow Mobilians Jeffrey Cain and Leslie Van Trease joined up with Remy Zero in Birmingham in 1989. The group found success when Radiohead invited them on tour and their single "Save Me" was chosen as the theme for the television series "Smallville", but broke up in 2003. After leaving the band Slay performed solo as Sleepwell and Horsethief Beats. He composed the theme for the television series "Nip/Tuck" with fellow Remy Zero alumni Cain and Cedric LeMoyne performing under the name "Engine Room".
Slay suffered throughout his life from cystic fibrosis, succumbing in 2010. He was survived by his parents and one brother, his wife Tiana Krahn-Slay, and their daughter Honeymoon.
