House of Threads
House of Threads is a fastener distributor headquartered at 144 Industrial Drive off Lakeshore Parkway in Birmingham. The company supplies fasteners to manufacturers and heavy construction across the southeastern United States and central Mexico.
Fletcher Yeilding founded Southeastern Bolt & Screw in Birmingham with Dave Upton in 1958. They hired Paul Tyson in 1960. Yeilding and Tyson left Southeastern in 1963 to partner in the purchase of the former Tampa Bolt & Screw Co. in Tampa, Florida. After Tyson retired from the business in 1985 he sold his share to Yeilding, who later moved the headquarters back to Birmingham.
The business remained family-owned, passing to Yeilding's sons Foster and Lee. They sold the business to the Würth Group of Künzelsau, Germany in April 2016. The Yeildings and their 108 employees remained with the Industry Division of Würth Industry of North America.
