Jarman Shoes opened with the center in 1975. Genesco Inc. was the parent company of Jarman. The company sold traditional men's footwear until 1982 when Genesco merged several of its divisions under US Retail. From that point forward Jarman moved towards a more fashionable product. This location was later converted to the Underground Station brand which was also a part of Genesco Inc. This is the same company that also owned Hardy shoes which was downstairs under Morrow's Nut House. Hardy later became Journeys, also a Genesco company.

Some faithful customers may even remember the manager of this location for many years named Roy Palmer. He was a fixture in Century for around six years at this one store.
