Jere Dennis (born 1861 in Alabama) was publisher of the Birmingham Labor Advocate from 1888 to 1896, when he ran as a Populist for the Alabama House of Representatives. The seat was awarded to an opponent by a house committee, prompting accusations of vote fraud.

Dennis, who was also employed as an organizer for the American Federation of Labor (AFL), served as vice-president of the International Typographical Union 104 in and as president of the Birmingham Trades Council in 1893. By 1900, Dennis had taken up the practice of law.
