John W. Rhoden (born March 13, 1918 in Birmingham - died January 4, 2001 in New York City) was a sculptor.

Rhoden graduated from Talladega College and Columbia University in New York. He won the Rome Prize in 1952 and studied at the American Academy in Rome, Italy. He studied under Richmond Barthé and William Zorach.

He went on to receive commissions for the Harlem Hospital and the Metropolitan Hospital in New York City and for the Sheraton Hotel and Afro-American Museum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His work has been exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and the Whitney Museum of American Art among several others. In 1992 he was appointed head of the Art Commission of the City of New York.

The Fred L. Shuttlesworth statue, dedicated in 1992 at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute is an example of Rhoden's work.
