Libertines Pizza Co. was a short-lived pizzeria in the former Cosmo's Pizza spot at 2012 Magnolia Avenue in Pickwick Plaza. The restaurant was created by chef Ben Vaughn, whose Root to Tail had opened in English Village in 2017. He planned to use the same philosophy of highlighting fresh, locally-sourced ingredients such as produce from REV Birmingham's Urban Food Project.
Libertines Pizza Co. opened on September 15, 2018.
Vaughn closed Libertines in 2019 and sold it to Amanda Beyleu and Dustin Allin who reopened it as Iron City Pizza Co. in the same spot.
