Hueytown
- January 9: An unnamed female was shot to death at a home at 410 Clio Street. A man was taken into custody at the scene. A 1999 white Ford Explorer with stolen tags is sought in connection with the incident. (report)
Unincorporated Jefferson County
- January 5: Michael Lee Terry, 23, was found shot to death on the 4300 block of Indian Valley Road in the Pawnee Heights community. His 2007 Lexus was found hours later on Cherry Avenue in Forestdale. No arrest. (report)
