Manhattan South is a women's clothing store in Heights Village in Vestavia Hills. Lesley DeCastro opened the shop in 2007 in Cahaba Village in Mountain Brook. On April 7, 2011 DeCastro relocated to Cahaba Heights. 20 days later the shopping center was heavily damaged during an early morning tornado. DeCastro lost her entire inventory of spring and summer merchandise, and in May estimated that she could not reopen until the next September.
