Metro Monitor is a broadcast media monitoring service with offices at 612 37th Street South. It was founded in 1993 by Ron and Martha Council and is currently headed by their son, Bryan Council.

In addition to broadcast media monitoring services, the company also offers media analysis, social media marketing, and news clips for research and editorial purposes.

Metro Monitor has grown by acquiring similar firms across the United States, including News Direct Services of San Francisco, California; Teleclip of Austin, Texas; Broadcast Media Monitoring of Miami, Florida; Newslink of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Boradcast Monitors of Dumont, New Jersey.
