Ricky King is the chief of the Westover Fire and Rescue Department, a lieutenant with the Pelham Fire Department, and former Chelsea city councilor.

King began his firefighting career as a junior volunteer in Chelsea around 1985, eventually working his way up to chief of the all-volunteer department. As a lieutenant in the Pelham Fire Department, he's responsible for fire safety education.

Prior to being accepted as chief at Westover, he was the public safety chair on the Chelsea City Council. He resigned that position on January 31, 2011 to take the fire chief position. A badge-pinning ceremony took place at Westover City Hall on February 15.
