Ridgeway Terrace Baptist Church was located at in the 5128 8th Court South (8th Court South and Ridgeway Terrace) in what was known as Woodlawn Highlands but later was called Crestwood North. It was organized on March 31, 1929 with 34 charter members. H. L. Walton was the first pastor. The congregation met in a tent for a few months prior to the erection of the brick home that served as the church.
