Robert E. Luckie, Jr (born 1917 in Clanton - died February 28, 2007 in Birmingham) was the founder, in 1953, of the advertising agency Luckie & Co..

Luckie is a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College and worked as a reporter and advertising representative with The Birmingham News before World War II. During the war he served as a public relations assistant to Admiral Chester Nimitz in the Pacific theater.

Since its founding, Luckie and Co. has grown to become one of the top 50 ad agencies in the United States. Luckie's sons Robert III and Tommy currently run the firm.

Luckie was one of the founders of the Metropolitan Development Board and of the Board of Visitors at the UAB School of Nursing. He has also served on the boards of the Emmett O'Neal Public Library in Mountain Brook and Canterbury United Methodist Church.

Luckie's wife, the former Lois Drolet of Tuscaloosa preceded him in death. He is survived by four children, Kay, Bob III, Tommy and Anne, nine grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
