Sandra Little Brown

Sandra Faye Mixon Little Brown (born June 4, 1955) is the owner of JJ's T-shirts & Team World, a former Birmingham City Council member, and currently president pro tem and representative of District 2 on the Jefferson County Commission.

Sandra Little graduated from Wenonah High School in 1973 and attended Lawson State Community College. She opened her apparel shop in 1990. She was active in community and civic organizations before running for Council in the 1997 Birmingham City Council election, the first to be conducted by district. She served one term before being turning over the seat to Bert Miller in the 2001 election. She ran unsuccessfully for her old seat in the 2005 Birmingham City Council election.

Brown was one of 6 candidates to qualify for a 2010 Democratic primary to fill the Jefferson County Commission District 2 seat left open when Shelia Smoot decided to run for U. S. Congress.

Brown was a member of the 2000 class of Leadership Birmingham. She is married and has five children.
