The Southern League of Professional Baseball, (formerly Southern Association) is a AA professional baseball league which which now represents ten AA minor league baseball teams across the Southeast. The Birmingham Barons have been members of the league for most of the team's history. The Southern League is headquartered in Marietta, Georgia.

The league traces its history back to 1885 as one of any number of rival baseball leagues that emerged in the early days of the sport.
