The Southern League of Professional Baseball, is a AA professional baseball league founded in 1885 encompassing ten teams across the Southeast. Now headquartered in Marietta, GA, its offices were for years located along Main Street in downtown Trussville prior to moving in 1994. The Birmingham Barons currently are members of the Southern League.
