Surin West is a Thai restaurant located at 1918 11th Avenue South in Five Points South. The restaurant was Surin Techarukpong's first restaurant in Birmingham after successful restaurants opened in the Atlanta area. The restaurant opened in 1996, and the "West" in the name refers to Birmingham's geographical situation with Atlanta. Techarukpong has since opened several other "Surin" restaurants in the Birmingham District.

The restaurant was expanded into the adjoining space which once housed Five Points Theatre; the theater's facade is still visible.
