Susannah Felts (born in Nashville, Tennessee) is a writer, writing instructor, and associate editor for Health Magazine.
Felts grew up in Nashville and earned her Master of Fine Arts in writing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2000. She then became a writing instructor at Columbia College Chicago and at the Art Institute. She also taught in an after school program for Chicago Public Schools.
Felts' writing has been published in Quarterly West, ACM, The Sun, Tank, McSweeney's, Pindeldyboz, and THE2NDHAND. She has also written freelance articles for the Chicago Reader, Time Out Chicago and other local publications.
Felts and her husband, Todd Dills relocated to Birmingham in late 2006. Her first novel, This Will Go Down on Your Permanent Record, was published in 2008 by Chicago's Featherproof Books.
