I loved the BAA when I first joined in the mid 1980's.  I was, by far, the youngest member and [[Armor Keller]] put me in my first show there. It was when the Birmimgham Museum of Art was in the old part only and they allowed the BAA to have its exhibitions in the basement. Coincidentally, because of my age they all called me the kid. I thought they were just awesome people really making a difference and I still revere them. [[User:Artsojourner|Artsojourner]] 21:25, 22 February 2008 (PST) Armor lives in Philadelphia now.

The '''Birmingham Arts Journal''' is a separate entity from the BAA.  The BAA sponsored the BAJ until 2008 but currently the BAJ is independent and has no sponsorship or affiliation with the BAA.  I am not sure how to work that in to this article, but as it is written it is misleading and no longer factual. I loved the BAA when I first joined in the mid 1980's. I was, by far, the youngest member and Armor Keller put me in my first show there. It was when the Birmimgham Museum of Art was in the old part only and they allowed the BAA to have its exhibitions in the basement. Coincidentally, because of my age they all called me the kid. Birmingham Arts Journal

The Birmingham Arts Journal is a separate entity from the BAA. The BAA sponsored the BAJ until 2008 but currently the BAJ is independent and has no sponsorship or affiliation with the BAA. I am not sure how to work that in to this article, but as it is written it is misleading and no longer factual. --Wheresdib 04:44, 14 October 2009 (PDT)
