Address

Despite the address of 200 19th Street North, Loveman's was at the corner of 19th and 3rd Avenue North. [1] Perhaps the address is wrong -- I got it from Birmingham Rewound and McWane Center -- but the intersection is undisputed. My best guess is that the former Newberry building, which was next door at 19th and 2nd, must have had a 2nd Avenue address. Those two were the only buildings on the west side of that block for many decades. So if Newberry's was officially on 2nd, Loveman's would have been the only thing with a street number on that side of the block. --Lkseitz 14:25, 7 February 2007 (PST)

Since Loveman's was south of 3rd Avenue, it would definitely have a 2xx address. McWane uses 200 since it occupies both Lovemans and the space where Newberry was located. Surely it would be in the archives somewhere. If Newberry's address was a 2nd Avenue address, then "200" would make sense as Loveman's would be the first lot coming northward on 19th from 2nd. But hey I am no authority. --Wheresdib 14:59, 7 February 2007 (PST)
