The Theodore Swann residence or Swann Castle was completed in 1928 for chemist Theodore Swann.
The "Norman Room" was constructed, it is said, from carved and dressed stones salvaged from Castle Hedingham, a 9th century keep built by Alberic de Vere in Essex.
Conservation of the Swann residence has been undertaken since 2003, under the guidance of Atlanta preservation architect Jack Pyburn.
