The Thuss Clinic for Industrial Medicine and Surgery was a medical practice operated by brothers Chauncey Thuss Sr and William Thuss Jr. The clinic, founded in 1940, specialized in contract medical services for business and public sector employers, including the Hayes Aircraft Corporation and the Jefferson County Personnel Board.
The practice was originally located in what later became known as the Wheeler Building at 2230 3rd Avenue North in downtown Birmingham. In 1962 it moved to a larger Thuss Medical Center building at 2124 4th Avenue South on Southside.
