Tim Ritchie (born c. 1961) was president and CEO of the McWane Science Center from 2004 to 2011.
Ritchie earned his undergraduate degree from Davidson College in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1983, a Juris Doctorate from the Duke University School of Law in 1987 and a masters in public administration from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government in 1998. He served as an attorney in the firm of Wallace, Jordan, Ratliff from 1988 to 1992 before leaving to become program director for the Center for Urban Missions. In 1995 he was hired as Director of Programs for the James Rushton Foundation.
In 1998 Ritchie moved to Louisville, Kentucky to head Louisville Diversified Services, a United Way-funded organization assisting adults with developmental disabilities. He returned to Birmingham in 2004 to become CEO of the McWane Center.
Ritchie left Birmingham for the position of president of the Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose, California.
An avid runner, Ritchie qualified for the Boston Marathon in 2009. He was a member of the Leadership Birmingham class of 1998 and the Leadership Alabama class of 2008.
