The Trussville City Schools Foundation is a non-profit organization operating independently from the Trussville City Schools to raise funding to enhance academic programs within the system. Founded shortly after the formation of the system, the foundation consists of nine-member board of directors, a 41 member advisory board, four community liaisons, and several committees. In 2007, the foundation announced that its five year fundraising goal to be $1 million.
Its first distribution to the local schools came in November 2007 when $30,000 was utilized in the purchase of overhead projectors and other supplies at Paine Primary School.
