Vikon Surgical LLC is a Birmingham-based private company involved in developing, marketing and distributing proprietary surgical equipment, with a focus on spinal procedures. The company was founded in 2009 by Bruce Hoadley as a division of Integrated Medical Systems. It operates from offices at 3200 2nd Avenue North. In 2010 it introduced its first product, a "Quick Release Kerrison Rongeur".
Vikon followed up by introducing its own "Resposable Laparoscopic Scissors", and later the "ONE HEADLIT" surgeon's headlamp, a product it acquired from Alpha Med-Surge, Inc. of Plano, Texas.
