The Vulcan Life building

The Vulcan Life building is an office building constructed on Valley Avenue near I-65 for the Vulcan Life Insurance Company. The modern glass-and-steel structure was designed by architect Fred Renneker and constructed by Brasfield & Gorrie. It was dedicated at a public open house on January 21, 1973. A miniature version of the Vulcan statue decorated the grounds.
