WBYE-AM (AM 1370) is a 1,000-watt daytime-only gospel format radio station which was founded in 1958 and is licensed from Calera. The station offices are located at 9170 Shelby County Highway 25 just west of Calera.

The Shelby County Advertising Corporation, which operated the station with a news/talk format, sold it in 1983 to B. M. Murchison. Murchison sold it to Thomas Leighton in 1986. After he died it was sold to the WBYE Broadcasting Company in 1989. Progressive purchased the station in 2000.
