Yawntreshia L. "Treshia" Coleman (born c. 1982) is a candidate for District 2 in the 2009 Birmingham City Council election, challenging incumbent Carol Duncan.
Coleman earned her business degree at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia in 2004 and worked as an accountant for a major retailer. She is now a partner in the WATS Tax Service in Roebuck and a small business consultant.
Coleman is the wife of Larry Coleman II, founder of the Transformation Birmingham ministry. That group joined with her campaign for a prayer walk on August 1, 2009. The couple has one daughter entering kindergarten.
Coleman's campaign platform includes improving communication, providing youth activities, encouraging community and economic revitalization and expanding education opportunities.
