2006 SEC Baseball Tournament
The 2006 SEC Baseball Tournament was held on May 24-28, 2006 at the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium. The University of Mississippi Rebels won the tournament with a 4-game sweep. It was the tournament's ninth consecutive year in Hoover and was played before record crowds totaling 108,173.

Round 1
The first round was a sweep in favor of the underdogs:
- Game 1: #7 seed South Carolina defeated #2 seed Kentucky 4-2
- Game 2: #6 seed Vanderbilt defeated #3 seed Georgia 9-4
- Game 3: #8 seed LSU defeated #1 seed Alabama 4-3
- Game 4: #5 seed Ole Miss defeated #4 seed Arkansas 9-4
Round 2
- Game 5: Georgia eliminated Kentucky with a 16-10 win
- Game 6: Alabama wliminated Arkansas with a 4-3 win
- Game 7: Vanderbilt defeated South Carolina 11-1 in 7 innings
- Game 8: Ole Miss defeated LSU 12-1 in 7 innings
Round 3
- Game 9: Georgia eliminated South Carolina with a 16-10 win
- Game 10: Alabama eliminated LSU with an 8-3 win
Round 4
- Game 11: Georgia defeated Vanderbilt 5-4
- Game 12: Ole Miss eliminated Alabama with a 9-2 win
Round 5
- Game 13: Vanderbilt eliminated Georgia with an 11-1 win in 7 innings.
Final
Ole Miss defeated Vanderbilt 9-3 in front of 9,025 fans to earn the SEC Championship. Ole Miss' Craig Rodriguez earned the win, allowing 2 runs in 5 innings of work. Will Kline picked up the save, recording the last two outs while allowing one hit and no runs. Vanderbilt's Tyler Rhoden got the loss, allowing 4 runs (3 earned) in 3 innings. Tournament MVP right fielder Mark Wright paced the Rebel bats with 3 RBI, part of a tournament-record 13 RBI recorded during the weekend.
