The 2024 North Birmingham shooting was a multiple homicide that took place at about 11:00 PM on Saturday July 13, 2024 at the Trendsetters Lounge & Event Center at 3427 of 27th Street North in the North Birmingham neighborhood.

Four people were killed and 10 others wounded in a drive-by assault during a birthday party. Birmingham Police were assisted by federal investigators in processing the scene and controlling a crowd of more than 150 people that had gathered.

On July 17, Birmingham City Attorney Nicole King filed a petition in Jefferson County Circuit Court seeking to declare the event center a public nuisance based on the shooting and on its failure to comply with zoning regulations or to secure a business license. In the petition Bianca Ervin was identified as representative of the business, and Dewayne Morris as agent of GW LLC, owner of the building. Judge Monica Agee granted a temporary order closing the business and set a hearing for July 29 to hear arguments with respect to its permanent closure.
