J. S. Abrams Elementary School (formerly J. S. Abrams Primary School) is an elementary school in the Bessemer City Schools system, located at 1200 23rd Street North.
The school was constructed in 1980, feeding Abrams High School. When the high school closed in 1987 the primary school took over its building and added a sixth grade, feeding into Davis Middle School.
Based on test scores from 2017, Abrams was deemed a "failing school" under the terms of the Alabama Accountability Act, permitting parents to claim tax credits to transfer students to another school.
