Alec Harvey

Alec Harvey is the executive editor of Business Alabama. He spent more than 25 years on the staff of the Birmingham News and AL.com, mainly as an arts and entertainment reporter and features editor.

Harvey has served as director of student media and adjunct instructor at Auburn University. He has also served as president of the Society for Features Journalism. He has contributed freelance reporting to numerous publications, and also covers arts in Alabama on his own website, "By Alec Harvey".
