Bama Six was a six-screen multiplex located in McFarland Plaza on Highway 82 (McFarland Boulevard East) in Tuscaloosa. It was opened by Consolidated Theaters on June 10, 1982. Costing $1.3 million to complete, each of the six auditoriums had 300 seats. The theater was operated by Consolidated through October 1989 when it was bought out by Carmike. With the opening of the Hollywood 16 Cinemas in 2004, fewer people visited the Bama 6 resulting in Carmike closing the theater in May 2007.
