Banditos is a roots rock band formed in 2010 by buskers Corey Parsons and Stephen Pierce. When invited to take on a regular gig, they invited fellow Cave 9 alumni Mary Beth Richardson, Randy Wade, and Jeffery Salter to join the band. Later bassist Danny Vines came on board. They recorded their first album at The Bomb Shelter with Nashville-based engineer Andrija Tokic.
After years of sharing a house in Crestwood, the group relocated to Nashville, Tennessee before recording their second album, which was released in the summer of 2013. They signed with Chicago-based Bloodshot Records in 2014 after a successful appearance at South by Southwest.
