The Birmingham Bulls was a professional ice hockey team based in Birmingham that played in the Central Hockey League (CHL) from 1979 to 1981. Their home ice was the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center.
The Bulls had been playing in the World Hockey Association (WHA) previously, when that league folded in 1979. The team was supposed to disband, however, it returned the next season as part of the Central Hockey League. The team lost money its first season, but continued into the second. The losses continued to mount, however, and the team folded in February 1981 without completing the season.
