Block 29 is a Birmingham city block bordered by 24th and 25th Streets and by 6th and 7th Avenues North.
The entire block was reserved for a park on William Barker's original plan of the city, made for the Elyton Land Company. The deed to the land remained with the company until February 21, 1883 when it was sold, along with two other park blocks to the City of Birmingham, for a nominal price. Originally known as East Park, the public park was rededicated in honor of radio inventor Guglielmo Marconi
