Blue Lake Drive is a short connector road running parallel to I-459 and below U.S. Highway 280 straddling the borders of Birmingham and Vestavia Hills. It has two sections, interrupted by The Colonnade mixed-use development.

The southern section runs from Cahaba River Road to Colonnade Parkway.

The northern section proceeds from Colonnade Parkway on the southwest to Sicard Hollow Road and Cahaba Heights Road at the Cahaba Pumping Station on the northeast. That intersection was reconfigured as a roundabout in 2025. Part of the road follows the north shore of Elmore Lake.
