The UAB Collat School of Business (CSB), formerly the UAB School of Business (SOB) is a major academic school at UAB, offering 9 undergraduate majors, 3 graduate programs, and 11 certificates in the study of business and finance. The school is housed primarily in the UAB Collat School of Business building located at 710 13th Street South. It is led by dean Christopher Shook.

The School of Business was established in 1971 when the former UAB College of General Studies split into four schools under the UAB University College. It started with 1,323 undergraduate students majoring in accounting, business administration, and economics, and 79 part-time students pursuing a master's in business administration. Don and Carrie Marshall established UAB's first endowed lectureship at the school that year. In 1973 the program gained accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The school moved into the new UAB Business and Engineering Complex in 1984. The first endowed chair outside of the medical school was created in 1986 with the "Ben S. Weil Endowed Chair of Industrial Distribution".

The School of Business was reorganized from 5 departments to 3 in 1999. The school adopted its present name in 2013 in recognition of a $25 million gift from Charles and Patsy Collat. Another reorganization effort in 2014 led to the closure or combination of several centers and institutes. The school moved into its present building in 2018.

As of the Fall 2023 term, the School had 84 full-time faculty members and a total student enrollment of 3,075 students. Of these, 127 were undergraduates, 248 were graduate students, and 106 were doctoral students.
