Command Alkon
Command Alkon is a Birmingham-based private company providing software products and services to the aggregate, ready mixed, concrete, asphalt, cement and block industries. It was founded in 1976 by Ken Robinson as the Alkon Corporation, and took its present name after merging with Command Data, Inc. of Dublin, Ohio in 2000. Phil Ramsey succeeded Robinson as president and CEO in 2005. Martin Willoughby took over from Ramsey in 2021.
Command Alkon's headquarters is located at 1800 International Park Drive. It also has offices in Columbus, Ohio; Kansas City, Kansas; Chicago, Illinois and in Bristol, England; Geldrop, Netherlands; Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, France; Navi Mumbai, India and Bogotá, Colombia
In March 2020 Thoma Bravo of San Francisco, California acquired a majority stake in Command Alkon from Quilvest Capital Partners. In October of that year, Command Alkon purchased the constriction logistics operations of Sunnyvale, California-based Trimble Inc. In December it acquired Ruckit, Inc. of Austin, Texas. In July 2024 Command Alkon acquired Marcotte Systems of Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Quebec.
