Curtis Bell

Curtis Bell (born 1962 in Atlanta, Georgia; died August 25, 2020) was a long-time blues disc jockey at WATV-FM.

Bell graduated from Hayes High School in 1980 and got his start as a DJ at skating rinks before going to work at WBUL-AM, where he earned the nickname "Blues Boy". He also worked at WENN-AM, where he was mentored by John Ray, and at WJLD-AM and WBHK-FM, before starting at WATV.

Bell was inducted into the Alabama Blues Hall of Fame in 2018. He suffered from cerebral palsy and died in 2020.
