Ken Tremelling

Kenneth Earl Tremelling (born September 4, 1940; died September 18, 2011) was a long-time radio DJ who has worked as Ken Keene and Ken Michaels. He began his radio career with WYDE-AM in 1958. In the 1960s he was hired as station manager for Tommy Charles' WAQY-AM.

Afterward he worked at WVOK-AM, WSGN-AM and as the operations manager and late afternoon jazz DJ for Samford University's WVSU-FM.

Tremelling borrowed the "Ken Keene" name from fellow DJ Dave Ruddle. Tremelling died in 2011 and is buried at Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer.
