Let There Be Light (film)
Let There Be Light is a feature film produced by Wildfire Films LLC and released to theaters on October 27, 2017 by John Aglialoro's Atlas Distribution Company.
The feature was written and co-produced by Sam Sorbo and Dan Gordon, and co-produced and directed by Sorbo's husband, former "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" star Kevin Sorbo. Fox News Network host Sean Hannity was an investor and executive producer of the $3 million film. The plot tells the story of Sol Harkins, "the world's most famous atheist," who converts to Christianity following a near-death experience.
Kevin and Sam Sorbo star in the film, which also features Hannity, Dionne Warwick and Travis Tritt.
Many scenes for the film were shot in the Birmingham area in the Summer of 2016. Financial incentives for the project were coordinated by Film Birmingham and the Alabama Film Office. Locations included Altadena Valley Presbyterian Church, Avondale Park, Cooper Green Mercy Health Services, and the Lyric Theatre.
