The Magic City Steam Bottling Works was a bottling company founded in 1885 by Al Hochstadter, a former vice-president of the Goldberg Manufacturing Company. The business manufactured and distributed soda waters, mineral waters, ginger ale, champagne cider and other soft drinks, with delivery to businesses throughout the city.
The two-story brick building with long wing extension was erected at 1817-1819 3rd Avenue North, the present site of the Alabama Theatre. The company failed in 1892.
