Minor Middle School (formerly Bottenfield Junior High School and Bottenfield Middle School) as a middle school for grades 6-8 in the Jefferson County Schools system. It is located at 400 Hillcrest Road in Adamsville and feeds into Minor High School. The principal is Taki Sarhaan.
The school was established in 1971 for grades 7-9 and named in honor of long-term Jefferson County Board of Education member Carl Bottenfield. It was expanded and converted to a 6-8 middle school in 2001 and changed its name in 2016.
The school offers specialized courses in health sciences and engineering technology. its school colors are purple and white and its athletic teams are called the Tigers.
